A typical day of our HAF holiday camps
Sadly, our summer HAF camp has finished for the holidays, but don’t worry we will be back! If you’ve ever wondered what a typical day at our holiday camps looks like, here’s a peek behind the scenes.
The morning starts with the team setting up the forest school, checking in on the hens, cows, and sheep, and getting the food, arts and crafts, and hammocks ready for the day.
As children arrive, they can meet Lorelai the lamb in her pen, have a run around with Nap the sheepdog, and make friends before the day officially begins. Once everyone is together, we head to the forest school, set boundaries of areas to run around, and introduce ourselves to the group.
The morning is filled with creative and physical play — arts and crafts, tightrope challenges, imaginative adventures in the yurt, and plenty of free play. Lunchtime includes hot dogs, pizza wraps, and gooey s’mores for dessert.
In the afternoon, the fun continues with a trailer ride around the farm, exploring the bees, cows, and hay bales, followed by more time to run, climb, and play. Before parents arrive, there’s always time for one last cuddle with Lorelai, leaving children tired, happy, and full of stories to tell.
A day at Solidarity Farm combines outdoor adventure, connection with animals, creative play, and plenty of fresh air — all in a safe, supportive environment where children can thrive.
